Masjid Tawhid in Leyton, East London, yesterday issued a press release responding to the news that the Charity Commission have launched an investigation into complaints about alleged extremism at the mosque raised by Usama Hasan – who used to be a Trustee at the mosque until recently and has now joined the government-funded Quilliam Foundation.
A couple of days ago the Islam Channel aired a debate about the recent events at Masjid Tawhid.
Islamophobia Watch posted an amusing item a few days back pointing out that Usama Hasan has expressed admiration on his Facebook page for a neo-con twit called Hasan Afzal who heads an organisation called British Muslims for Israel.
I just saw a note which Usama Hasan posted on a forum in which he states that Quilliam is now 100% privately funded.
